10 YEAR PLUS MANAGER FOR CORP FIRESTONE- TIRES PLUS NEARLY CUTS LEG OFF WORKING 13 HOUR DAYS WITH NO HELP FROM DISTICT STAFF OR MANAGMENT AND 2 SURGERIES LATER AND ON WORK RESTRICTIONS THAT ARE IGNORED AND FORCED TO WORK PAST DR RESTRICTIONS SENDS EMAIL TO CORP POWERS STATING COMPLETE DISREGUARD FOR SAFETY AND NEGELANCE ON DISTRICT STAFF AND HAS RECORDED CONVERSATIONS WITH HR DEPARTMENT THAT BEST THING TO DO FOR BOTH PARTIES IS TO RETIRE MANAGER OUT AND PART WAYS AND SAYS SHE WILL CALL IN 2 DAYS WITH OFFER, DOSNT RETURN CALLS FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS AND TELLS ME THAT IM FIRED AND ALSO HAVE PICTURES WITH DISTRICT MANAGER SITTING ACROSS STREET STALKING ME IN HIS CAR.

So let me tell you why I started this page....
I have worked for Firestone-tires plus for 10 years as a Store Manager. I REPORTED NUMEROUS SAFETY VIOLATIONS TO MY SUPERVISORS AND CORPORATE!!
About 4 years ago, I was injured (permanently) at work because of Corporate GREED. After requesting assistance for several months, I was working my 10TH day in a roll, working bell to bell (13+ hours a day), and an injury occurred that nearly cut my leg in half. After a couple surgeries and significant rehab, I returned to work with restrictions. THEY WOULD NOT FOLLOW MY RESTRICTIONS!! I WORKED OUTSIDE OF THE RESTRICTIONS OR I WOULD BE FIRED!! THIS CONTINUED TO FURTHER DAMAGE MY LEG!!
I am a man that has worked as long as I can remember. I don't care to work hard. You have to work hard to earn what you get!! I want my team to win!! AND we DID!! I worked hard to make our store successful which meant money for Corporate and WE WERE....UNTIL....
I continued to report the SIGNIFICANT SAFETY VIOLATIONS. My frustrations increased as I was forced to work outside of my restrictions or be fired.
I discussed with Human Resources the TOTAL DISREGARD AND NEGLIGANCE OF SAFETY ISSUES AND WAS FIRED!!
Firestone-tires plus states that we should part ways!! My supervisor, James Stephens , said he did not know I was on any work restrictions. Just know all phone calls are recorded, all emails are monitored and every keystroke was tracked and have all text saved in cell phone. We had to sign policies that we understood that. So HE LIED!! CORPORATE SUPPORTED HIM!!
HR, Marcy Sally, told me she would call me in 2 days to discuss our severance!! So, 2 WEEKS LATER SHE FINALLY RETURNED MY CALL...YES I CALLED HER DURING THE 2 WEEKS!!!
When she returned the call.. I was FIRED!! She said she would pay 40 hours of my earned sick time and my vacation earned!!
Now they will not pay that saying I have not earned it! I BELIEVE IN WORKING HARD AND DOING WHAT IS RIGHT!
I made this site so that we can start a change!! Corporations has to change!! We have to take care of each other!!
I AM PERMANENTLY INJURED BECAUSE OF THE TOTAL NEGLECT OF FIRESTONE-TIRES PLUS CORPORATION... THEY CONTINUE TO RETALIATE AGAINST ME BECAUSE I PUSHED FFIRESTONE-TIRES PLUS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIER CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES!!
WHEN YOU GET IN THE VEHICLE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES...
Just know that FIRESTONE-TIRES PUS would rather hire the cheapest employee rather than support their own policies and employees that follow those policies because they are concerned about your safety and the employee's safety.
